My Commentary...
How can a U.S. citizen lost land to two illegal immigrants? Isn't it
illegal for non-citizens to sue a citizen? How can Post Traumatic
Stress syndrome cost that much money? Why are they given so much for so
little? If we know they're illegals, why don't we deport them? These
questions need to be answered.
Cindy Sheehan can say anything she wants. She lost a child in Iraq.
This entitles her to call bush any name she wants. However, that does
not mean that she can be misled by radical left-wing groups like
moveon.org or scum like Michael Moore. Cindy Sheehan has garnered too
much media attention. This obsession with anybody who protests a
Republican attests to the bias in the media (besides the point that Ted
Turner, the founder of CNN, has called Bush a Nazi).
The Gaza Pullout is actually very bad for Sharon. Sharon has not
considered the political and social ramifications of his actions. His
order for the removal of the Jewish settlers may motion for the
Palestinians to realize that eventually Sharon will bow to their needs.
This symbolic Waterloo for Israel means that the Palestinians have the
precedent to evict other Israelis from their homes.
The media have attributed a negative connotation to Roberts's
conservative status. Clearly Roberts is conservative. There is no doubt
about that. However, Democrats still have not realized that the
minority party doesn't always receive what it wants. While the
Democrats move more to the left, they consider even a graduate of
Harvard Law School as unqualified? While they acompany the media in
stressing that Roe v. Wade is a consitutional right (which it isn't
considering that free speech doesn't mean you can choose whether or not
you have a baby or do whatever you want with your body; that argument
can be made for cocaine and is used by meth users) Roberts has been
counseling in documents used in the Senate. You must consider that
Roberts plays as a devil's advocate and advisor in those documents to
see all points of judicial opinions. In addtion, Roberts takes the
viewpoint of his client and not his own personal views in the
documents. Moreover, it is notable that a Supreme Court Justice should
not support his or her own views in presenting their statements to the
court. What is important is how accurately the justice interprest the
consitution. In this case, Roberts has taken the side of his clients.
This reflects on his ability to stick close to his employer, the
federal government, attesting to his ability to be a fair judge. Those
who argue Roberts is too conservative must reconsider his record as one
who accurately interprets the law. This is more important than
political belief. | | |
